Product Description

Product Introduction

Product Name: Bromoxynil Octanoate 25g/L EC Active Ingredient: Bromoxynil Octanoate Content & Formulation: 25 g/L Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC) Category: Selective post-emergence contact herbicide

Mode of Action

It is a Photosystem II inhibitor (HRAC Group C3). Mainly contact action. Absorbed through weed foliage. Under sunlight, it inhibits photosynthetic electron transport and blocks plant energy production, causing leaf burn, brown necrosis and rapid weed desiccation. Limited translocation inside plants; only damages above-ground tissues contacted by spray droplets. Higher temperature and strong sunlight accelerate weed control. Safe to gramineous crops, effective against annual broadleaf weeds. No control effect on grass weeds such as crabgrass and foxtail.

Target Crops & Target Weeds

✅ Applicable Crops: Spring wheat, barley, oats, corn, sorghum, millet, flax, garlic, onion, non-residential turf and other grass crops.

✅ Controlled Weeds (Annual Broadleaf Weeds): Chenopodium album, Polygonum, Amaranthus retroflexus, Xanthium sibiricum, Solanum nigrum, Capsella bursa-pastoris, Descurainia sophia, Galium aparine, Abutilon theophrasti, Commelina communis, Convolvulus arvensis, Silene conoidea, Veronica persica, Erigeron annuus, Salsola collina and other annual broadleaf weeds.

Application Dosage Table

Instruction: Dilute with 30–50 kg water per mu. Foliar spray when weeds are at 2–5 leaf stage and crops are at suitable leaf stage. Max 1 application per growing season.

Crop Target Weeds Formulation Rate Application Method Application Timing
Spring wheat Annual broadleaf weeds 120–150 mL/mu Foliar spray Wheat 3–5 leaf stage, weeds 2–5 leaf stage
Corn Annual broadleaf weeds 100–150 mL/mu Foliar spray Corn 3–4 leaf stage, weeds 2–4 leaf stage
Millet Annual broadleaf weeds 80–100 mL/mu Foliar spray Millet 3–5 leaf stage, weeds 2–5 leaf stage
Barley / Oats Annual broadleaf weeds 120–150 mL/mu Foliar spray Crops 3–5 leaf stage, weeds 2–5 leaf stage

Application Notes:

  1. Best if no rain within 6 hours after spraying. Do not apply below 8°C. Avoid application under extreme high temperature at noon.
  2. Prevent spray drift to broadleaf crops such as cotton, soybean, vegetables, which will cause severe phytotoxicity.
  3. Do not mix with alkaline pesticides.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  1. Wear protective clothing, rubber gloves, goggles, respirator and rubber boots during application.
  2. Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling. Avoid touching eyes with contaminated hands.
  3. After spraying, wash exposed skin thoroughly with soap and clean water. Wash protective clothing separately.
  4. Pregnant women, breastfeeding women and sensitive persons shall not contact this product.

First Aid Measures

  • Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Wash skin thoroughly with plenty of running water and soap for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical help if irritation occurs.
  • Eye Contact: Hold eyelids open, flush eyes continuously with clean running water for ≥15 minutes. Seek medical treatment promptly.
  • Inhalation: Move victim to fresh air immediately. Give oxygen if breathing difficult. Perform artificial respiration if breathing stops and send to hospital.
  • Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Bring product label and send patient to hospital for symptomatic treatment. No specific antidote available.

Storage & Disposal

  1. Store in cool, dry, well ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Protect from direct sunlight.
  2. Keep in original sealed container. Store separately. Do not store together with food, feed, seeds or daily goods. Keep out of reach of children and livestock.
  3. Toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. Do not use near ponds, aquaculture zones. Never clean spray equipment in rivers or ponds.
  4. Do not discharge unused spray solution randomly. Triple rinse empty containers and add rinsate to spray tank. Deliver empty containers to designated pesticide waste collection points, do not discard casually.

Important Remarks

  1. Toxic to fish and silkworms. Use with caution near mulberry fields, silkworm houses and apiaries.
  2. Poor control on weeds over 5 leaf stage; only leaf burn occurs while roots survive and regrow. Apply at young weed seedling stage for best performance.
  3. Repeated use of herbicides with same mode of action may lead to weed resistance. Rotate herbicides with different HRAC groups.
