Product Description
Edifenphos 30% EC Product Introduction
Product Name: Edifenphos 30% EC
Formulation: Emulsifiable Concentrate Active Ingredient: Edifenphos 300 g/L (30% w/v) Other Ingredients: 70% solvent, emulsifier, stabilizer and auxiliary agents
1. Product Performance
Edifenphos is an organophosphorus with protective, curative and systemic activity, specially developed for rice disease control. It can be absorbed rapidly by rice leaves and stems, and translocate inside rice plant tissues.
- Mode of action: Inhibits pathogen lipid biosynthesis, suppresses spore germination, mycelial growth and lesion expansion. Provides both preventive spray before infection and curative effect after disease onset.
- Main target diseases for rice:
- Rice Blast (leaf blast, neck blast, panicle blast) — primary target
- Rice Brown Spot
- Rice Sheath Blight
- Rice Seedling Blight / Seedling Rot
- Advantages:
- Excellent field performance against rice blast, widely applied in rice‑growing regions across Asia, Africa and Middle‑east markets.
- Good rain‑fastness after spray drying on leaf surface; stable under normal field temperature.
- Suitable for foliar spray; also applicable for seed soaking treatment to control seed‑borne seedling diseases.
- Good compatibility with most commonly used rice‑field pesticides (Do compatibility test before tank‑mixing).
- Limitation: Avoid mixing with strong alkaline agrochemicals, as alkaline condition will accelerate hydrolysis of edifenphos and reduce efficacy.
2. Application & Usage Method
2.1 Foliar Spraying for Rice Field
表格
| Target Disease | Dose | Water Volume | Application Timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rice Leaf Blast | 1.0‑1.2 L product per hectare | 400‑600 L water /ha | Pre‑outbreak or early disease symptom, repeat at 7‑10‑day interval if high disease pressure |
| Rice Neck / Panicle Blast | 1.2‑1.5 L product per hectare | 450‑600 L water /ha | Spray at rice booting stage & full heading stage, critical application window |
| Rice Brown Spot / Seedling Blight | 1.0 L product per hectare | 400‑500 L water /ha | Early‑stage leaf symptom appearance |
Operation tips:
- Dilute required dosage with small amount of water first, stir well, then add remaining water to prepare spray liquid.
- Spray evenly to cover upper and lower rice leaf surfaces, leaf sheaths and panicles.
- Re‑spray if heavy rainfall occurs within 2‑4 hours after application.
- Maximum application times per rice growing season: 2‑3 times. Observe pre‑harvest interval (PHI): minimum 21 days before rice harvest.
2.2 Seed Soaking Treatment (Seed‑borne disease control)
Dilute Edifenphos 30% EC at 1 mL per 1 L water, soak rice seeds for 24‑36 hours, then take out seeds for germination and sowing. Effectively reduce seed‑transmitted blast and seedling blight in seedling bed.
2.3 Tank‑mix Note
- Do NOT mix with lime, Bordeaux mixture and other strong‑alkaline pesticides.
- When mixing with other fun gicides/insecticides, perform small‑scale compatibility test prior to large‑volume tank mixing.
