Thidiazuron 360 g/L + Diuron 180 g/L SC Product Introduction
1. Product Overview
Thidiazuron 360 g/L + Diuron 180 g/L SC is a high-concentration, compound suspension concentrate pesticide specially developed for cotton pre-harvest defoliation and ripening. It combines two efficient active ingredients: Thidiazuron (360 g/L), a high-activity plant growth regulator, and Diuron (180 g/L), a contact desiccant with rapid leaf drying effect. Adopting advanced suspension concentrate (SC) formulation technology, the product features fine particle size, stable suspension, no dust pollution, good water solubility and crop compatibility. It is a professional, efficient and cost-effective pre-harvest treatment agent widely used in global cotton planting areas, dedicated to accelerating uniform defoliation, promoting concentrated boll opening, and improving mechanical harvesting efficiency and cotton quality.
Product Specification: Thidiazuron 360 g/L + Diuron 180 g/L Suspension Concentrate (SC)
Functional Positioning: Cotton Pre-harvest Defoliant & Ripening Agent
Applicable Scenario: Commercial cotton fields for mechanical picking and centralized manual harvesting
2. Mechanism of Action & Product Performance
2.1 Dual Synergistic Working Mechanism
This compound product achieves complementary and synergistic effects through the combination of growth regulation and desiccation, solving the defects of single-agent defoliants such as slow defoliation, incomplete leaf fall and uneven boll ripening. Thidiazuron is a high-efficiency cytokinin plant growth regulator. After being absorbed by cotton leaves and stems, it rapidly induces the formation of abscission layers between leaf petioles and branches, promoting natural shedding of green leaves without causing premature plant aging and death. It can transfer plant nutrients to cotton bolls, accelerate boll expansion and ripening, and increase cotton yield and lint quality. Diuron acts as a rapid contact desiccant, which quickly inhibits leaf photosynthesis and transpiration, accelerates leaf dehydration and withering, avoids residual green leaves clinging to branches, and greatly improves defoliation speed and thoroughness. The two ingredients work together to realize the integrated effect of rapid desiccation, thorough defoliation and concentrated ripening.
2.2 Core Product Advantages
-
Superior Synergistic Efficacy: The compound formula complements the advantages of slow and thorough defoliation of thidiazuron and fast desiccation of diuron. It achieves rapid leaf drying in 3–5 days and complete defoliation in 7–14 days, with a defoliation rate of over 90%, far better than single-agent products.
-
Improve Cotton Quality & Yield: It promotes concentrated opening of cotton bolls, reduces immature bolls and late-opening bolls, increases the proportion of first-grade cotton. It effectively avoids leaf debris mixing into cotton during harvesting, reduces cotton contamination, improves lint cleanliness and fiber quality, and increases cotton yield by 5%–10% compared with conventional defoliation methods.
-
Professional SC Formulation: Adopts advanced suspension concentrate process, with ultra-fine active ingredient particles, stable suspension system, no layering, no precipitation during storage. It disperses quickly and evenly in water, has strong adhesion on crop stems and leaves, resists slight rain wash, and high pesticide utilization rate. Zero dust pollution, safer for operators and ecological environment than powder formulations.
-
Wide Adaptability & Long Effective Period: Suitable for all varieties of upland cotton. It adapts to different temperature environments (effective when the minimum night temperature is above 12°C). The efficacy is stable and lasting, which can fully meet the time cycle requirements of large-scale mechanical harvesting.
-
Cost-Effective & Labor-Saving: High-concentration compound formula reduces application dosage and frequency. One-time application can complete defoliation and ripening treatment, saving labor and time costs, and significantly reducing pre-harvest management investment of cotton fields.
-
Standard Harvest Support: Thorough defoliation provides a clean picking environment for mechanical cotton picking, effectively reduces mechanical picking impurity rate, improves harvesting efficiency, and is fully compatible with modern large-scale cotton planting and harvesting modes.
3. Detailed Application Methods & Dosage
3.1 Target Crop & Purpose
Crop: Cotton
Main Purpose: Pre-harvest defoliation, accelerate concentrated cotton boll opening, ripen cotton plants, and facilitate mechanical and centralized manual harvesting
3.2 Optimal Application Timing
-
The best application period is when the cotton boll opening rate reaches 40%–50% or the lower branch boll opening rate exceeds 30%.
-
Apply when the minimum night temperature is stably above 12°C to ensure normal absorption and efficacy exertion; avoid application in low temperature, rainy and cloudy weather for a long time.
-
Each cotton field is limited to one application per growing season to avoid excessive treatment affecting cotton quality.
3.3 Recommended Dosage & Usage
-
Standard Dosage: 15–25 mL per mu (667㎡); 225–375 mL per hectare
-
Dosage Adjustment: In high temperature, sufficient light and well-matured cotton fields, use low dosage; in low temperature, late maturity and vigorous cotton growth fields, appropriately increase the dosage within the recommended range.
-
Application Method: Stem and leaf uniform spraying. Dilute the product with 25–30 kg of clean water per mu, and evenly spray on cotton stems, leaves and boll surfaces, focusing on dense foliage areas to ensure full coverage of the whole plant.
3.4 Solution Preparation & Operation Specifications
-
Adopt the secondary dilution method: First pour a small amount of clean water into the sprayer, add the required dosage of the product, stir fully to form a uniform mother liquor, then add water to the standard volume and stir again before spraying.
-
Use clean neutral water for dilution; do not use alkaline water, sewage or turbid water to avoid reducing efficacy.
-
Complete the spraying operation in calm morning or evening; stop operation in case of strong wind, heavy rain or sudden temperature drop.
-
Do not mix with alkaline pesticides, foliar fertilizers and herbicides to prevent ingredient decomposition and phytotoxicity.
4. Packaging Specifications
This product adopts multi-specification sealed professional pesticide packaging, which is moisture-proof, leak-proof, pressure-resistant and light-proof, meeting international export standards and long-term storage requirements. Multiple specifications cover individual farmers, small and medium-sized planting bases and large-scale cotton farm groups.
