Potassium humate is a high-efficiency organic potassium fertilizer. It is a heterogeneous macromolecular aromatic hydroxy carboxylate, appearing as black granules or powder solid. Extracted from refined lignite reacting with potassium hydroxide solution, it is water-soluble, alkaline, and contains active groups such as carboxyl and phenolic hydroxyl groups.

As a high-efficiency organic potassium fertilizer, potassium humate contains bioactive humic acid. It raises available potassium content in soil, reduces potassium loss and fixation, and improves crop absorption and utilization rate of potassium. It also improves soil quality, promotes crop growth, enhances crop stress resistance, improves crop quality and protects agricultural ecological environment. Mixed with urea, phosphate fertilizer, potassium fertilizer and trace elements, it can be made into high-efficiency multi-functional compound fertilizer. In addition, potassium humate can be used as petroleum drilling fluid treatment agent to prevent borehole collapse.

Functions

Humic functional groups in potassium humate can absorb and store potassium ions, preventing potassium loss with water in sandy and leachable soils, and avoiding potassium fixation in clay soil. Part of potassium humate consists of low-molecular humic acids such as fulvic acid, which erodes potassium-bearing silicate, potash feldspar and other minerals, slowly decomposes minerals and releases more potassium to increase available potassium content.

Its potassium fertilizer utilization rate is 87%–95% higher than ordinary potassium fertilizers, achieving better fertilizer efficiency, higher crop yield and improved fruit quality.

Effects on Soil

It increases soil organic matter and optimizes soil structure, greatly improving soil buffering capacity.

In barren sandy soil, it retains easily lost water and nutrients, converting them into plant-absorbable forms. In clay soil, it promotes granular structure formation, improving water retention and air permeability.
